Honda confirms that the 2018 Buildbase team raced the CRF250R in MX2, with the 2018 bike having the new DOHC engine and electric start.
One important distinction: Honda’s published 2019 Buildbase Honda production special specifically lists the titanium Akrapovič exhaust, anodised accessory kit, Blackbird seat cover and ROCS Xtrig triple clamp.

2018 was a major redesign year. Honda moved the CRF250R onto the newer chassis and introduced electric start as standard. The DOHC engine was also substantially redesigned.
It’s a proper race-spec motocross machine — no lights, no road equipment and no attempt at being an enduro bike.
