The Carbon gets forged Marchesini wheels, carbon-fibre bodywork and DLC-coated fork legs. The forged wheels alone save roughly 2.5 kg, which makes a noticeable difference to handling.
The really clever bit is the engine: it’s the Testastretta 11°, related to the 1198 superbike motor but tuned for much more usable road performance. In Sport mode it is properly savage; Touring gives a smoother delivery, while Urban limits output to around 100 hp.
